EPA / DOD To Co-host Environmental Colloquium

BALTIMORE -The mid-Atlantic office of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, along with the Department of Defense, will co-host an environmental colloquium here from Tuesday, May 18 through Thursday, May 20, 1999 at the Holiday Inn - Inner Harbor, on Lambert Street.
Michael Stahl, EPA’s deputy assistant administrator, Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, and Admiral R.T. Ziemer, Commander, Navy region in the mid-Atlantic, will deliver the keynote addresses. Other notable speakers include Jane Nishida, Maryland secretary of the environment, and Bruce DeGrazi, assistant deputy under secretary of defense for environmental quality. The full agenda includes representatives from various federal and state environmental organizations.
The three-day seminar will bring together officials of the EPA, defense agencies, and states to discuss environmental enforcement, compliance and clean-up. EPA Region III consists of the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
