EPA Awards Over $130,000 to the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma

(Dallas, Texas – October 21, 2009) The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $133,238 to the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma. The funds will be used by the Tribe to identify and provide evidence of the availability and sustainability of renewable energy resources, provide outreach to Tribal members and the Peoria Tribe Governing Board through the Tribal newspaper. The Tribe will also identify and list air pollution sources impacting Tribal lands.
