EPA Awards Over $200,000 to the Osage Tribe

(Dallas, Texas – December 28, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $210,000 to the Osage Tribe through the General Assistance Program to manage specific environmental programs and establish a core program for environmental protection. The tribe will use the funds to write grants, update quality assurance documents, update an environmental assessment, attend environmental trainings and meetings, create maps using geographic information systems, identify salt water scarring areas, clean up five illegal dump sites and identify additional illegal dump sites.
