EPA Awards Bronze Medal to Ambler Resident

PHILADELPHIA -- The Environmental Protection Agency has recognized attorney Judith Hykel of Ambler for her legal expertise in cleaning up a Superfund site.

Hykel, senior assistant regional counsel, was honored for her contribution in cleaning up extremely hazardous site soils using onsite incineration at the Drake Superfund site and demonstrating professionalism throughout the ensuing litigation. Hykel has worked for the EPA for nine years.

"Judith deserves applause for her hard work. Thanks to her, the mid-Atlantic region is a cleaner, safer place to live," said W. Michael McCabe, EPA’s mid-Atlantic regional administrator.
