EPA Awards Over $200,000 to the Kialegee Tribe to Operate Environmental Department

(Dallas, Texas – December 4, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $242,325 to Kialegee Tribe under the General Assistance Program to improve the capacity of the tribe to operate its environmental department. The tribe will use the funds to develop an indoor air program, clean up illegal refuse sites, and develop an integrated waste management plan.
