FEDERAL AND STATE AGENCIES PARTICIPATE IN WATER MONITORING TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL MONITORING DAY AND THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CLEAN WATER ACT

To commemorate National Monitoring Day and the 30th Anniversary of the Clean Water Act, Thursday, October 17, 2002, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other federal, state, and local agencies will participate in water quality monitoring on Rottenwood Creek, a tributary to the Chattahoochee River, in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. This is an opportunity for EPA to coordinate with other agencies interested in the Chattahoochee River and also draw attention to water quality and watershed issues within the Chattahoochee Basin.
