U.S. EPA ANNOUNCES PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR BAY AREA EMISSIONS

SAN FRANCISCO - Today the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announces the start of the 30-day public comment period for the Bay Area's 2001 motor vehicle emissions budget. The EPA received the budget from the Californian Air Resources Board on Nov. 30. After the close of the public comment period, Jan. 7, the EPA will respond to comments and make a final approval decision.
