PHILADELPHIA – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s mid-Atlantic region presented its Regional Administrator’s Award for Excellence to Carlyn Prisk of Lower Alsace Township, Berks County.
Prisk, a civil investigator with the region’s Hazardous Site Cleanup Division, was honored for her work in cost recovery for the Superfund program. She has worked for the EPA for seven years.
“She is adept at conducting detailed corporate research, which requires highly specialized expertise,” said last year’s award recipient Joanne Marinelli, who made the announcement at the May 11 employee recognition ceremony. “She is one of only four in our region with the expertise necessary to conduct ability-to-pay cases. And she is also the Superfund program’s bankruptcy expert.
“Carlyn is noted for her ability to perform work which is consistently well-researched and thorough, in the shortest time imaginable,” Marinelli added.
EPA’s mid-Atlantic region covers Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
