White Haven Residents Honored with EPA Employee Awards

PHILADELPHIA – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s mid-Atlantic region presented its Customer Service Award to Renee Searfoss of White Haven, Pa.

Searfoss, an environmental scientist in the Water Protection Division, was honored for her superb customer service skills.

“When Renee Searfoss leads a project, she goes to great lengths to identify all customers, understand their needs and deliver expected service, all while keeping everyone in the loop,” said last year’s winner Amelia Libertz, who made the announcement during the region’s May 11 employee recognition ceremony.

“In addition to treating her colleagues as customers, Renee treats each facility she investigates with courtesy and a high level of responsiveness in clearing up any regulatory questions that may arise,” Libertz added.

Searfoss has worked at the U.S. EPA for four years.

EPA’s mid-Atlantic region covers Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
