CHICAGO (Nov. 23, 2007) - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 will present an update on cleanup activities, including demolition of a now-vacant building, at the former Grand Traverse Overall Supply facility, 10753 E. Cherry Bend Rd., Greilickville, Mich. The meeting will be Thurs., Nov. 29, 6:30 P.M., at the Elmwood Township Center Building, 10090 E. Lincoln Rd., Traverse City.
A comment period on the proposed Superfund cleanup plan runs Nov. 29 through Dec. 31, 2007. A presentation on the project and EPA's proposed long-term activities will be part of the meeting. Residents can make comments at the meeting or submit them via the website www.epa.gov/sites/grandtraverse/index.htm. A fact sheet with more information about the proposed cleanup will be available at the meeting and posted on the website.
