EPA TO ANNOUNCE MAJOR DECISION ON DIOXINS IN BAY

    SAN FRANCISCO -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will join state and local representatives and environmental groups in making a major announcement at Pier 7 in San Francisco on Monday that will launch a new and comprehensive effort to address dioxins, PCBs and other pollutants entering the Bay.


     WHO:         EPA Regional Administrator Felicia Marcus, along with
                  Leading representatives from the State of California,
                  the Cities of San Francisco and Oakland,  
                  and several environmental groups
