MONDAY: EPA CHIEF IN LANSING TO ANNOUNCE NATIONAL INVESTMENTS TO REVITALIZE COMMUNITIES
(CHICAGO – June 3, 2011) On Monday, June 6, Obama Cabinet member U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa P. Jackson will visit Lansing to announce national EPA grants that will help redevelop contaminated properties, boost local economies, help create jobs and improve public health in Michigan and across the nation. Mayor Virg Bernero of Lansing and state and local officials will join the Administrator. The event will take place at the Lansing City Market, a site that was revitalized with EPA investments.
