EPA Awards Over $470,000 to the City of Austin to Rehabilitate its Sewer System

(Dallas, Texas – Sep. 27, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently awarded $477,900 to the City of Austin to continue rehabilitating its sewer system. The city will use these funds to rehabilitate sewers located on the north shore of the Colorado River near downtown. The city plans to complete this task by October 2008. This grant brings EPA’s contribution to the City of Austin’s sewer overflow prevention program to a total of $3,032,200.
