Linking Land Use, Transportation, and Air Quality Subcommittee of the CAAAC

The Subcommittee on Linking Land Use, Transportation, and Air Quality provides advice and support to the Clean Air Act Advisory Committee and to EPA's Office of Air and Radiation (particularly the Office of Mobile Sources) on a number of key topics related to air quality. Over the past several years, the Subcommittee has addressed a wide variety of policies, programs, issues, and problems across many diverse areas, including:
- Transportation and land use planning;
- Clean air communities and sustainable communities;
- Granting of SIP credits (including the quantification of air quality benefits from mobile source and land use measures);
- Public/private partnerships and mobile source outreach programs;
- Voluntary measures and mobile source incentive programs; and
- Clean fuels and innovative technologies.
The subcommittee is comprised of approximately 20 technical experts representing a broad range of backgrounds, including government, industry, law, academia, trade associations, and not-for-profit organizations.
