EPA Extends Comment Period on Draft Scope Document for Vinyl Chloride TSCA Risk Evaluation

To give commenters more time to provide input, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is extending the public comment period on the draft scope document for the risk evaluation for vinyl chloride under the Toxic Substances Control Act. The scope document includes the conditions of use, potentially exposed or susceptible subpopulations, hazards, and exposures that EPA may consider in its risk evaluation.
EPA released the draft scope document for the risk evaluation for vinyl chloride on Jan.16, 2025, with a comment period that closes March 3, 2025. The agency will soon publish a Federal Register notice extending the public comment period for an additional 30 days. Upon publication of the Federal Register notice, EPA will accept public comments via docket EPA-HQ-OPPT-2018-0448 on regulations.gov until April 2, 2025.
