Proposed Electric Power Systems Partnership Updates
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) SF6 Emission Reduction Partnership for Electric Power Systems (EPS Partnership) is requesting feedback on proposed updates. Since 1999, the EPS Partnership has collaborated with partner utilities who have voluntarily sought emission reductions of SF6. Partners have led efforts to identify and implement best practices and other cost-effective solutions, achieving efficiencies in addition to significant emission reductions. In recent years, innovations and alternative technologies in the electric power industry have rapidly evolved, increasing related opportunities and options available to Partners.
As a result of this evolution, earlier this year the Partnership embarked on a feedback effort engaging Partners and stakeholders to inform potential updates. This effort continues with this notice requesting feedback to ensure programming supports Partner needs and aligns with industry trends. EPA will share additional information on the EPS Partnership website and via the Partnership listserv when available.
