Global Change Explorer
The Global Change Explorer website includes tools, data, and guidance that are useful for evaluating the vulnerability of air, water, ecosystems, and human health in relation to climate change, land use change, and other large-scale environmental stressors. These products incorporate multiple scientific disciplines and environmental media to help enable integrated assessments of global change.
-
Atmospheric Deposition
This interactive tool maps critical load effects (when the upper limit a compound can be deposited before harmful effects occur is exceeded) from nitrogen (N) and sulfur (S) through precipitation.
-
Coastal Areas
Tools for protecting coastal ecosystems through examining both climate-driven threats and adaptation responses to them, in salt marshes (wetlands) and reefs.
-
Land Use
The Integrated Climate and Land Use Scenarios project produces population and land use projections based on climate change scenarios.
-
Climate Scenarios
The Locating and Selecting Scenarios Online (LASSO) tool helps users easily identify and download climate projections that best fit a given research question.
-
Climate Resilience
This set of tools helps users to assess local environmental and social hazards and provides a logic system that includes climate change information for sustainable adaptation and resource management. Community resilience is executed by applying these results and approaches together, through collaborative, well-informed and equitable action.
-
Watersheds
Contains simulation summaries of streamflow and water quality impacts, supplementing the 2013 EPA report on U.S. watersheds (EPA/600/R-12/058F).
