Solazyme Response

Based on the information provided in Solazyme’s petition, EPA has completed an assessment of the GHG emissions associated with producing Solazyme bio-oil (SBO).  We have shared our evaluation with Solazyme but we are not making it publicly available due to Solazyme’s confidential business information claims.  EPA intends to make a fuel pathway determination after receiving and reviewing a complete pathway petition by Solazyme and a refining partner for a finished fuel product.  EPA intends to make the fuel pathway determination publicly available when it is complete.
