Aquaculture
Aquaculture is the culture, or husbandry, of marine or freshwater plants or animals. Aquaculture is undertaken in both freshwater and marine systems in a variety of ways, including in:
- raceways or flow-through systems,
- ponds,
- recirculating systems,
- floating or submersible net pens or cages, and
- bag, rack, suspended or longline culture.
